Ginna Claire Mason and Teal Wicks: Pink Goes Good With Green

In PINK GOES GOOD WITH GREEN, two “wicked” witches give you a peek behind the emerald curtain with personal, out of the bubble, off the broom tales about what it was like to visit Oz night after night on Broadway. In a new cabaret experience conceived by Patrick Cassidy, Studio Tenn’s Artistic Director, hear heartwarming stories from Ginna Claire Mason, during her time in pink as Glinda the Good Witch, and Teal Wicks as she was glammed up in green as Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West. Together they’ll create on-stage magic as they look back on the show that changed them and audiences “for good.”

Ginna Claire is delighted to return to her hometown, Nashville, TN, to perform alongside her friend, Teal!  She stars in Hallmark Channel’s A Holiday Spectacular and A Heidelberg Holiday, which aired last holiday season. Stay tuned for a new film this Christmas. She recently finished a multi-year run as Glinda in Wicked on Broadway. She toured nationally with Wicked (including Nashville, Spring 2018), Newsies, and Flashdance. She headlined in Theatre Orb’s New Years Musical Concert in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan (with Teal Wicks!), and recently starred in South Pacific with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, opposite internationally acclaimed opera singer, Nathan Gunn. She earned her BFA in Music Theatre at Elon University and gave the commencement speech there May 2024.

On Broadway, Teal Wicks originated the roles of Lady in The Cher Show, Mary Barrie in Finding Neverland, and Emma Carew in the revival of Jekyll & Hyde. She made her Broadway debut as Elphaba in Wicked after playing the role to critical acclaim in the Los Angeles and San Francisco companies. Teal has created lead roles in various productions Off-Broadway and across the US, including The Ballad of Little Jo (Two River Theatre), The Blue Flower (Second Stage/A.R.T.), Piece of My Heart: The Bert Berns Story (Signature Theatre), Life of the Party (Theatreworks, w/ Andrew Lippa), and Fahrenheit 451 (59E59). TV Credits include NCIS: New Orleans, Evil, Elementary, The Good Wife, and Chicago Justice.

Since becoming Studio Tenn’s Artistic Director in fall 2019, Patrick Cassidy has directed acclaimed productions of Million Dollar Quartet, It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, and Elton John & Tim Rice’s Aida; directed Sally Struthers, Kathie Lee Gifford, and Conrad John Schuck in Love Letters; and produced the hit shows Camelot, A Christmas Carol, Steel Magnolias, Smoke on the Mountain, The Sound of Music, and the regional premiere of the new Dolly Parton musical Here You Come Again. He created the star-studded Studio Tenn Talks, interviewing luminaries like Stephen Sondheim, Patti LuPone, and Audra McDonald, and teamed with the non-profit Tennessee Performing Arts Center to launch Cabaret On Stage, featuring intimate concerts with Broadway stars like Norm Lewis, Shoshana Bean, Adam Pascal, Susan Egan, and Kristin Chenoweth. Cassidy masterminded Studio Tenn’s One Night Only galas Broadway’s Big Top, Fosse, Rodgers & Hammerstein, and Fall Fundraiser concerts with Shaun Cassidy, Michael Feinstein, and Jason Alexander. He also directed and starred in The Music Man at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.; produced Beauty and the Beast, Shrek, Matilda, Dreamgirls, West Side Story, and The Music Man as Artistic Director at 5-Star Theatricals in Southern California; and produced and starred in Have You Met Miss Jones?, a musical valentine to his mom. For Las Vegas’ Wynn Hotel, he was resident director of ShowStoppers and acting coach for the aquatic production show Le Réve. Before moving behind the scenes, he followed in the footsteps of his parents, Academy Award winner Shirley Jones and Tony Award winner Jack Cassidy, forging a four-decade career on Broadway, film, and television. Cassidy’s greatest accomplishments are his sons, Cole and Jack, and his marriage of 29 years to his wife, Nashville Ballet faculty member Melissa Hurley Cassidy.
